Castor Oil for Boils

Boils are one of the most painful and common skin diseases that can affect people of any age group. It is formed due to an infection in the hair follicles and turn into bumps that often grow in size. After about four days, pus starts collecting in these bumps.  These boils are a bit difficult to heal and the pus that it contains leaks and makes the boils painful. Boils do not appear on any part of the body as they only target areas that contain sweat or oil glands. These places include face and, armpits, shoulders, etc. Boils have many different causes such as:
•    Diabetic patients are very susceptible to boils.
•    People who have a weak immune system also have a higher chance of facing this skin disease.
•    Unhealthy diet and unhygienic living condition can lead to growth of boils.
•    Skin contact with harsh chemicals can also lead to boils.
Boils are easy to detect as they are painful infected bumps and the skin around the bump becomes red and swollen. The patient’s body temperature rises and suffers from a swollen throat.
To treat boils, most people refer to science based medicines but it is certain that these medicines come with side effects and so, people are now resolving to use herbal remedies to cure such skin diseases.
Castor oil contains certain properties that help in healing the boils such as anti-inflammation and pain relieving. Due to these properties, castor oil has been used widely for the treatment of boils.
Castor oil is consumed by patients as its oral intake prevents infection and its growth and reduces the pain caused by the boils. The easiest way of using castor oil for boils is applying this oil on boils and covering them with cotton and a bandage. Below are some boil treatment recipes using castor oil:

Castor Oil Pack:
1.    Soak a piece of cotton or wool in castor oil and squeeze excess oil out.
2.    Place the castor oil dipped cotton on the area covered with boils.
3.    Wrap the affected area and cotton with plastic.
4.    Place a hot water bottle on the pack and leave it on for about 30 minutes.
Repeat the above process each day and you will notice your skin conditions getting better.
Castor oil, Baking soda and Parsley
1.    In 1 tablespoon of castor oil, add 1 teaspoon of parsley, mustard and baking soda.
2.    Mix the paste well and gently apply the paste on the skin area affected by boils.
3.    Leave it on overnight and wash it the next morning.
Once you have washed off the paste, apply plain castor oil on the boils during the day and repeat the steps given above all over again. You will see difference in the severity of your boils soon.
The most common reason of the development of boils is poor hygiene conditions and that is why one must take proper care of hygiene in order to avoid such skin conditions.
